 GX-5R Epic RC is proud to present the 5-port version of the GX Series race engine. This engine is the result of significant development around the world with some very respected and experienced engine developers. Never before has any engine offered these features at this price Using a Titanium Nitried coating treatment on the crank and wrist pin results in the engine being truly rebuildable as well as reducing friction and increasing rpm. The same treatment is used on the carb slide to give a smooth movement throughout the operating temp range of the motor. Revised porting on the liner and crank timing make this much more drivable while not degrading power delivery. The end result is more drivability and increased run time. Turbo head button and T3 (hot) Turbo Plug also included. The T3 is the default plug for these engines. Also, the all new lightweight drilled head reduces weight and center of gravity, while improving heat dissipation. The 5 port is the best overall, and most popular choice of the GX engines. It is well suited for midsize to large tracks, where a balance of acceleration and top speed is key.
